About the Author:

Interestingly enough, Ashley didn’t grow up with an interest in cooking. In fact, she informed her mother on multiple occasions that she was not getting an advanced education so she could spend her evenings preparing meals. So here’s the deal. She lucked out and got to marry her best friend. Between us, we have the cutest little Doodlebug, who is our absolute world. But balancing work and home is difficult. Sometimes impossible. She daydreams about coming home to a spotless house cleaned by a professional cleaning service, with steaming hot meals prepared by her own personal chef. But since that’s not going to happen, and because she wants her son to grow up healthy and nourished by good, wholesome food, she’s learned to cook. More surprising, she discovered that she actually enjoys it. She’s also discovered that it doesn’t have to be stressful or time-consuming to create meals that are not only good for you, but also actually taste good.
